Seth Burgett’s passion for Fords started at an early age when he participated in his first barn find at the age of 9. When Seth was just 12 years old, he started a small engine repair shop in his family’s wood shed, which became wildly successful. These early childhood experiences sparked Seth’s interest in mechanical engineering and fueled his entrepreneurial spirit.
Seth is a prolific inventor and engineer with a solid track record of successfully commercializing industry-first, market-dominating innovations. He has more than 50 patents or patents pending and holds an Executive MBA from Washington University’s Olin Business School, an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT, an Executive Certificate in Finance from Stanford, and an undergraduate degree from Missouri Science & Technology followed by an Honorary Professional degree.
Seth Burgett has been consistently involved in production during his career, starting in low-volume military aircraft and medical devices to high-volume automotive and consumer electronics. By combining his production background with his lifelong car knowledge and passion, he’s changing the way trucks are being restored and now building modernized Vintage Broncos the way Henry Ford envisioned – on a production line.

Seth Burgett, has proven success with 3 exits and a currently thriving brand with Gateway Bronco leading the marketplace in re-mastered vintage Ford Broncos priced from $250,000 to $1,200,000. Burgett holds multiple degrees including a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, executive certificates from MIT and Stanford, an Executive MBA from Washington University, and Fudan University in Shanghai, China where he was presented with the Inspirational Leadership Award.
Burgett is a seasoned entrepreneur who has built a reputation for growth. In his last venture, he founded, capitalized, and exited the company in 7 years resulting in a 10x ROI for initial investors. As CEO and Chairman of the Board, Burgett led the venture from initial startup to capturing 40% market share in North America using a premium product 2x the price point of the average product in that category. At the time of sale, the company held a globally dominant market share. Following the sale, Burgett was retained by the purchaser, Harman Industries, as Vice President and GM where he was responsible for 55% organic revenue growth of the business unit in 18 months.
Burgett’s passion for automobiles runs deep. He recently began vintage and GT sports car racing, and in his rookie year won a club championship and earned a track record. His racing career to date has produced a 69% win rate and 100% podium rate in 3 season of racing. An active individual, completing 3 Ironman triathlons, Seth lives in the St. Louis area with his wife of 30 years and their 3 children.
