Ben Affleck lights up Hollywood in his new LUXE-GT Edition EV Bronco.

Academy Award-winning actor Ben Affleck has been spotted cruising around Los Angeles in his new Gateway Bronco, and people are definitely noticing.

Singer and actor Jennifer Lopez commissioned the high-performance Electric Vehicle (EV) as a 50th birthday gift for her Hollywood icon husband. The 400-horsepower custom EV Bronco was presented to Ben during a special birthday celebration event in Georgia.

“Building this custom EV Bronco as a surprise birthday gift for Ben Affleck was a milestone project for all of us at Gateway Bronco,” said Seth Burgett, president and founder of Gateway Bronco. “The project drove our team to achieve a next level of fit and finish, driving performance and design. This has set a new standard for our company. Ben initially contacted me about building a custom Bronco. Within a week, Jennifer’s manager reached out to explain that Jennifer wanted to buy the available EV Bronco for Ben as a surprise birthday gift. She wanted to change the planned Brittany blue to our signature design in Sea Foam green with painted ranger stripes. It was an honor to be a part of Jennifer’s plan to surprise Ben with the Bronco of his dreams for his 50th birthday.”

Affleck’s high performance LUXE-GT Edition™ Bronco is powered by a 112k Watt-hour battery pack mated to a Direct Drive transmission and capable of 400-horsepower. The EV Bronco was the natural option for Ben and aligns with the power couple’s well-known advocacy for tackling tough environmental issues and embracing sustainability. In 2010, Ben co-founded the Eastern Congo Initiative to raise awareness of threatened natural resources, and in 2013 won an Environmental Media Award. In 2019, Jennifer Lopez teamed up with sustainable clothing brand, Niyama Sol, an ethical beach brand producing garments made solely from recycled bottles.

Finished in a proprietary blend of Sea Foam Green with painted Ranger Stripes, the 4×4 SUV rides on 18-inch custom sport wheels with 35-inch tires. The exterior features carbon fiber flares, power retractable steps, LED lighting and leather wrapped San Felipe Roll Bar with a patented convertible soft top. The interior is equipped with a GT350 steering wheel, rear backup camera, Focal Studio sound system, power windows, genuine Porsche leather interior, leather wrapped dash and console with USB capability, push button start and Apple CarPlay.

“It was satisfying to see this Bronco come to life with all of the features and design elements that Jennifer selected,” said Burgett. “It was abundantly clear that she had a vision for this Bronco and wanted to make it a special gift that reflected Ben’s style. It’s especially fitting his Bronco is powered by an electric powerplant and reflects his commitment to addressing critical environmental issues.”
