One of the most anticipated aspects of the transition to fall is the start of the college football season. Fans across the country are caught up in the excitement and camaraderie of rooting for their favorite schools. Proud alumni host tailgate parties, establishing game day traditions that can last decades.

One passionate participant in the college football revelry is the owner of the Fuelie Edition™ Bronco shown here. It was custom built by Gateway Bronco specifically to be a centerpiece at tailgate parties at University of Florida sporting events. Every aspect of the vehicle was designed around a Florida Gators theme, illustrating how thoroughly Gateway Bronco can design a vehicle to match any client’s vision.

The Bronco’s color combination will look familiar to anyone who has cheered on the three time national champion Gators at The Swamp in Gainesville. The metallic blue base color is complemented by an orange stripe incorporated into the ranger stripes. The vehicle has an all-leather interior with alligator hide accents throughout, and color-matched Raptor Liner flooring from front-to-back.

However, the owner was seeking far more than just a match for his school colors. One of his requirements was an AC plug in the rear to power his drink mixers and other tailgating accessories, which Gateway Bronco engineered and installed.

He also requested a San Felipe roll bar with its lower profile in the rear, but knew that he would need sun protection over the rear seats at times. “We designed and fabricated a custom sun shield for his rear seat passengers as well,” said Seth Burgett, CEO of Gateway Bronco. “That’s something that has never been done before on a vintage Bronco — another world’s first for Gateway Bronco.”

Mechanically, this Bronco is ready for the rigors of a championship run on any road surface. It wears 18-inch billet aluminum wheels and is powered by a robust Ford Coyote 5.0-liter V8 teamed with a 10-speed automatic transmission to deliver the type of performance than any offensive line would respect.

“The crowning detail is a set of alligator heads for the twin-stick 4WD engagement,” Burgett said. “This is just one example of how custom the vehicles at Gateway Bronco can be built. After we sit down with you to discuss your vision, we will create a rendering and then turn that dream into a finished vehicle that we consider an investment grade asset.
